Aker Scores FPSO Installation Deal Offshore Angola
MODEC Offshore Production Systems awarded Aker Marine Contractors a mooring installation contract for hook-up of the Bourgogne FPSO offshore Angola. MODEC will supply the PSVM FPSO to BP for their PSVM development in Block 31.
Currently being converted from a tanker, the double-hulled PSVM FPSO will have a storage capacity of 1.6 MMbo and a processing capacity of 157,000 bopd. Located on Block 31 in the ultra-deepwaters of Angola, the PSVM project is a hub field development that will produce from the Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte oil fields.
Production is expected to begin in 2011 with a peak production of 150,000 bopd being reached on PSVM by 2012.
