flexlife Appoints Non-Executive Directors to Board
flexlife has announced the appointment of two international energy industry leaders to its board as non-executive directors.
David Cassie of Subsea7 and Sandy Clark of Amec both have outstanding industry pedigrees with vast experience and knowledge of the market that will help flexlife expand in future.
In a further move to position the company for ambitious growth, a Director of Sales and Marketing and Finance Director have also been appointed.
Charles Cruickshank is the new Director of Sales and Marketing. He has more than 30 years industry experience, most recently as global vice president/director of Germanischer Lloyd where he was responsible for establishing and leading on global asset integrity management. His career has also included business development director positions at Aker Kvaerner Engineering Services and Hertel Services.
Newly appointed Finance Director John Duncan has worked in finance for 19 years, 10 of which he has spent in the oil and gas industry. Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2000 John is also currently finance director for XPD8 Solutions.
In his new role at flexlife John will be responsible for all financial matters including reporting, forecasting, business planning and pricing. He will also contribute to strategic discussions at the board and will assist with various projects including the opening of overseas offices and the development of business models for new products and services.

Our newly-strengthened team is looking forward very much to building upon existing work in the UK and internationally."
David Cassie joined Subsea 7 as Executive Vice President - Commercial, in October 2002. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 25 years oil and gas experience in both commercial and operational roles. He began his career with Construction John Brown and Press & Worley Offshore and from there moved to Britoil before moving into the subsea sector with Wharton Williams in 1985.
Recruited by Stena Offshore as Commercial Manager David undertook a number of posts, including Managing Director, for the merged company Coflexip Stena Offshore before assuming the position of Senior Executive Vice President in 2001, responsible for the North Sea, Canada and Caspian Region.
Sandy Clark is Director for Strategy and Growth at AMEC. Over his 25-year career with AMEC, Sandy has held various management positions helping to develop the business into a major international oil and gas contractor. Most recently Sandy was Operations Director for AMEC’s Europe & West Africa Operations Management business.
