Afren Deems Okwok Field 'Commercially Viable' Offshore Nigeria
Afren announced that results from the Okwok-9 appraisal well are consistent with the subsurface model and in line with pre-drill expectations. The well found 35 feet (11 meters) of net oil pay in the D2 reservoir sands with an average porosity of 30% and tested 31 degree API oil at sustained rates. Work is now focusing on defining the next steps in the ongoing evaluation of the field.
