Aker Secures Oil Separation Contract in Brazil
Aker Solutions received a contract to design, build and supply heavy oil separation equipment for the OSX-1 FPSO for use on the Waimea field offshore Brazil. The new equipment will be supplied to convert the current light oil process system to heavy oil production. Delivery is planned for April 2011. The FPSO conversion project, being handled by BW Offshore in Singapore on behalf of OSX, is scheduled for May 2011.
