Statoil to Spin Bit in North Sea

Statoil received consent to perform exploratory drilling in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea using the Transocean Leader semisub. The exploratory well 15/6-12 is part of production license 303, located about 143 miles (230 kilometers) west of Egersund, and about 7 miles (12 kilometers) south of the Glitne field. Drilling will start at the end of November and should last for about 81 days. The water depth of the site is 377 feet (115 meters).
