Desire Secures Seismic Acquisition Services with Polarcus



Desire Petroleum signed a contract with Polarcus Limited for marine seismic acquisition services using the MV Polarcus Nadia seismic vessel. Under the terms of the contract, Desire will acquire a 3D survey over the areas of Tranches C and D, which were not previously covered by 3D, and most of Tranche F to ensure that the east flank fan play fairway has complete coverage. Additionally, the 3D survey is intended to acquire 3D data over the northern part of Tranche I and adjacent areas in the North Falkland Basin. Rockhopper Exploration has also signed an identical contract with Polarcus allowing Desire and Rockhopper to share the vessel for acquiring seismic data in each company's adjacent licenses and other areas. The MV Polarcus Nadia vessel is expected to commence the joint survey in December with completion by the end of April.
