Lundin Gets OK to Drill in North Sea with Transocean Rig

Lundin Norway AS received approval to conduct exploratory drilling in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea using the Transocean Winner semisub. The well, 16/7-9, is located in Production License 409 in a water depth of 256 feet (78 meters). Drilling should take about 41 to 56 days. Lundin operates the license, holding a 70% interest; Bayerngas holds 20%; and Statoil holds the remaining.
