Ferguson Modular Invests in New Modules for Norwegian Fleet
Ferguson Modular, a division of the Ferguson Group, has invested £1.2million into the manufacture of new modules for the Norwegian market. The modules will be manufactured under NORSOK standards.
Commenting on the investment, Ferguson Modular's Director of Business Development Gary Wilson said, "The NORSOK compliant modules have been manufactured to expand our rental fleet in Norway and will be available at the end of October through Ferguson Norge AS, our Norwegian division based in Tananger.
"The investment reflects our continued response to customers' needs as well as our continued investment into our rental fleet, not only in Norway but in all our locations."
Bjarte Andreassen, business development manager at Ferguson Modular Norge continued, "There is a great demand for our services in the region and as our clients have been increasingly looking for NORSOK compliant modules we are responding to that. We continue to tailor our services to requirements in the Norwegian and global marketplace."
The NORSOK standards are developed by the Norwegian petroleum industry to ensure adequate safety, value adding and cost effectiveness for petroleum industry developments and operations. NORSOK standards are as far as possible intended to replace oil company specifications and serve as references in the authorities' regulations.
