NPD Grants Lundin Drilling Permit in North Sea



The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate granted Lundin Norway AS a drilling permit for well 3/8-1 in Production License 400. The Maersk Guardian semisub will perform the drilling operations. Located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, the well is situated on parts of Block 3/5 and the entire Block 3/8. The well is the first to be drilled in this license. Lundin Norway operates the license, holding a 50% stake; Petoro AS holds 20%; and Norwegian Energy Company ASA holds 30%.
