Monday, November 30, 2009 Cairn will assume full ownership of its exploration subsidiary Capricorn by acquiring Dutch oil explorer Dyas' holdings in the unit, in return for $95 million and stakes in licenses in Tunisia and Albania.

Monday, October 27, 2008 Cairn has secured interests in two frontier hydrocarbon exploration licenses offshore southern Greenland through its exploration focused arm Capricorn.

Thursday, January 10, 2008 Two of the blocks awarded are in the Disko West Round, and the other two are located in the Open Door Area. In addition, Cairn has acquired a 40% interest in two west Greenland offshore blocks operated by EnCana.
