Norway has a new helicopter company under the Bristow banner effective from today, April 1, 2009.

Bristow Helicopters has entered into an agreement to acquire the remaining 51% of Norsk Helikopter, taking its ownership to 100%.

StatoilHydro ASA and ENI Norge AS have awarded Norsk Helikopter AS a new contract for helicopter services, including two new helicopters, in Hammerfest from June 1, 2009. The contract has a duration of 6 years + 3 x 1 year options.

Norsk Helikopter has become the first offshore oil operator in the North Sea to achieve 10,000 fleet hours with the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
