OGX Hits Hydrocarbons in Campos Basin Block

OGX has identified hydrocarbons in the Albian and Santonian sections of well 1-OGX-18-RJS, located in the BM-C-40 block on the Inga prospect. An oil column of about 39 feet (12 meters) was encountered in carbonate reservoirs in the Albian section of the well, when drilling was interrupted due to sampling. Drilling will resume to determine the total column and net pay of the hydrocarbon zone. In the Santonian section, high porosity sands containing hydrocarbons were encountered. Drilling is still in progress, and it should reach a maximum final depth of about 9,186 feet (2,800 meters). The Ocean Lexington semisub is performing the drilling operations in a water depth of 344 feet (105 meters), about 59 miles (95 kilometers) off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
