Logs Reveal Natural Gas at Noble's Leviathan Field

Noble Energy reported that the Leviathan-1 well has penetrated the first interval in the primary objective. Based on information gathered while drilling, it seems that natural gas was encountered in the primary target. Semisub Sedco Express will continue drilling and once completed, a full well evaluation will be conducted.

The Leviathan-1 well is a gas target located in Tertiary-Oligocene age sands at a depth of 16,716 feet (5,095 meters). It is estimated the prospect contains about 16 Tcf of unrisked mean resource potential of natural gas. The Leviathan prospect is located in 5,361 feet (1,634 meters) of water offshore Israel in the Rachel and Amit license.

Noble Energy operates the license, holding a 39.7% interest; Ratio Oil Exploration 1992 LP holds 15%; Delek Drilling LP holds 22.7%; and Avner Oil and Gas Ltd. holds 22.7% interest.
