CNOOC Starts Up Taps at Bohai Bay

The Bozhong (BZ) 19-4 oil field has commenced production, reported CNOOC. The field development and production operation of BZ 19-4 mainly rely on the facilities of the BZ 25-1/25-1S oil field. Situated in a water depth of 69 feet (21 meters), the field is expected to hit a peak production rate of more than 15,600 bopd within the year. The field is located in the southwest part of Bohai Bay, about 4 miles (7 kilometers) northwest of the BZ 25-1 oil field. The oil field is jointly developed by CNOOC Ltd. (operator, 83.80%) and Chevron (16.20%).
