Total: Production Restarts at N. Sea Elgin Franklin

Production recommenced at the Elgin/Franklin gas and oil field after a technical problem interrupted operations on June 8. Located in the Central Graben area of the UK North Sea about 149 miles (240 kilometers) east of Aberdeen, the Elgin and Franklin fields are 4 miles (6 kilometers) away from each other in waters measuring 305 feet (93 meters). Operated by Total, the development project is also held by Elgin Franklin Oil & Gas (a JV between Total and GDF Suez), Eni, BG, Eon Ruhrgas, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Byas and Oranje-Nassau.
