AWE Spies Oil Offshore Taranaki Basin

The Tui SW-2 well has reached a measured depth of 12,300 feet (3,749 meters), and oil shows were encountered as expected over a 33-foot (10-meter) section in the top of the objective F Sands. Wireline logging will be performed in the next couple of days to determine the significance of these sands. The Tui SW prospect is located in mining license PMP 38158 in the offshore Taranaki Basin and is adjacent to the producing Tui oil field. AWE Limited operates the license, holding a 42.5% interest.
