AWE Preps to Run BOPs at Taranaki Basin

AWE is preparing to run BOPs on the Tui SW-2 well, and once they are operational, the operator plans to drill ahead in an 8-1/2-inch hole from 5,161 feet (1,573 meters) to a total depth of 12,221 feet (3,725 meters). The Tui SW prospect is located in mining license PMP 38158 in the offshore Taranaki Basin and is adjacent to the producing Tui oil field. AWE Limited operates the license, holding a 42.5% interest.
