Matra Appoints New Non-Executive Director
Matra announced the appointment of James William (Bill) Guest as a non-executive director.
Bill (aged 56) has had an extensive career in the oil and gas industry. After graduating from Leicester University with a degree in Geology he worked for Shell International in various overseas assignments. He was Technical Director of Monument Oil & Gas until its takeover in 1999, following which Bill was a Director of Endeavour International Corporation's UK and Norway businesses. In 2004, Bill joined Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd. as a non-executive Director and in 2005 became President until 2007.
Bill is currently a non-executive Director of Hurricane Exploration plc, an advisor to the board of Edgo Group and a Partner in Guest & Associates, an independent energy advisory company.
Matra's Chairman, Sir Michael Jenkins, said, "I am delighted to welcome Bill onto the board of Matra. His extensive technical and commercial experience will be invaluable at this stage of the Company's development."
