AMEC Names New Director of Angolan Operations

AMEC announced that Kirk Barwick will serve as Director of Angola Operations for Paragon Angola Engenharia e Servicos, the company's joint venture with Prodoil Exploracao e Producao de Hidrocarbonetos, S.A.R.L. (Prodoil).

Barwick, who has been with AMEC for 31 years, will be responsible for business development and execution responsibilities on all of AMEC's Angolan projects, including ExxonMobil's Kizomba Satellites, Chevron's Area A Gas Management Program and other recent awards. His experience includes numerous international management assignments on efforts including new-build FPSOs, refinery modifications, offshore topsides and subsea developments.

Barwick, who will continue to be based in Houston, also will have direction over AMEC's efforts to increase local content for international operators on their Angolan projects. Barwick is currently working towards a Master's Degree in Project Management at the University of Manchester, UK.
