HOUSTON Nov 15, 2007 (Dow Jones Newswires)Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDSB.LN) is restarting production at its Ursa platform in the Gulf of Mexico, spokeswoman Darci Sinclair said Thursday.
The platform, which produces nearly 100,000 barrels a day, was shut around Nov. 3, and a short maintenance down time was prolonged by strong ocean currents that prevented divers from making unexpected repairs.
The longer-than-expected shutdown of Ursa and the larger Mars platform nearby inflated the value of lower-quality oil by $4 on the Gulf Coast.
