WorleyParsonsCord Lands Construction Deal for Canadian Oil Sands Project

Australia's WorleyParsons Ltd. reported Friday that its Canadian subsidiary WorleyParsonsCord has been selected to provide fabrication, modularization and construction services in an agreement with a major exploration and production company in Canada to construct a significant oil sands mining project.

The services will be led and executed by the WorleyParsonsCord Edmonton Operations location, which has been delivering construction services for several decades. With an approximate value of $108.39 million (CAD 135 million), this project will be completed in mid-2016.

“We are pleased to have been awarded this contract that will support an expansion in the Canadian oil sands” said Andrew Wood, CEO of WorleyParsons.
