TL Offshore Extends Charter for Derrick Lay Barge
Malaysia-based upstream service provider Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SJR Marine (L) Ltd has received a notice from TL Offshore Sdn Bhd July 11 for the extension of the charter of the derrick lay barge, Enterprise 3.
The Enterprise 3, owned by SJR Marine, has been on charter to TL Offshore since 2008. Its main charter term ended June 30.
"The notice received from TL Offshore Sdn Bhd extends the duration of the charter for a fixed term from July 1 to Aug. 15 and thereafter on a daily charter basis subject to a notice period of 21 days to precede the end of the charter," Perisai Petroleum said in announcement on the local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.
The daily charter rate for this extended term is $60,000 a day.
