Breitling O&G Starts Drilling Tx. Well

change text size

Breitling Oil and Gas Corporation has spud the Breitling-Brown Billy #2 in Live Oak County, Texas as it continues to develop its "Gulf Coast Onshore Initiative" that began in May 2010.

The Breitling-Brown Billy #2 Prospect is expected to be drilled to 5,500 feet to test the Upper and Lower Yegua oil sands. The trapping structure is generally defined by subsurface well control with the interpretation and proposed location confirmed by integrating 3-D seismic from Breitling's shoot in 2011.

Management anticipates the well will reach total depth in about 6 days. Well completion and testing on the Breitling-Brown Billy #2 well should begin during the last week of July 2012.

Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner stated, "We feel we have a good Yegua trap, delineated by 3-D seismic and is structural closure on the high side of a large, arced, down-to-the-coast fault." Faulkner added, "The well-defined structure, the oil productive amplitudes of the fault block, and the upthrown productive look of the Lower Yegua sands in surrounding well control indicate the fault block is productive."
