BSEE: Three Percent of U.S. Oil Production Still Shut In After Debby

Approximately 3.2 percent of current daily Gulf of Mexico oil production, or 44,229 bopd, remains shut in due to Tropical Storm Debby, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) reported on Wednesday.

BSEE estimates that approximately 3.64 percent of current daily U.S. Gulf natural gas production, or 164 Million cubic feet per day, is still shut in due to Debby, which has weakened from a tropical storm and has headed back out into the Atlantic Ocean.

Workers remain evacuated from 10 production platforms, or 1.6 percent of the 596 manned platforms in the U.S. Gulf. None of the 70 rigs currently operating in the U.S. Gulf are still evacuated after the storm.
