Iraq's prime minister, Nuri al-Maliki, has asked U.S. President Barack Obama to stop Exxon Mobil Corp.'s oil exploration deal with Iraq's autonomous Kurdistan region, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing Maliki's media adviser, Ali al-Moussawi.
Maliki's spokesman warned earlier that the contract is dangerous and could lead to wars.
