Breitling O&G Continues Gulf Coast Onshore Initiative with Latest Spud

change text size

Breitling Oil and Gas Corporation, an independent exploration and production company based in Irving, Texas, has spud the Breitling-Brown Billy #1 in Live Oak County, Texas as it continues to develop its "Gulf Coast Onshore Initiative" that began in May 2010.

The Breitling-Brown Billy #1 Prospect is expected to be drilled to 4,900 feet to test the Yegua and Petus oil and gas sands. The trapping structure is generally defined by subsurface well control with the interpretation and proposed location confirmed by integrating 3D Seismic from Breitling's shoot in 2011.

Management anticipates the well will reach total depth in about 6 days. Well completion and testing on the Breitling-Brown Billy #1 well should begin during the last week of June 2012.

Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner stated, "We are up-thrown to a structure on the Yegua and Pettus, trapped by a large, arced, up-to-the-coast fault." Faulkner added, "This is one of the most reliable traps in this trend."
