OGX Places Platform Order with Techint

OGX Petróleo e Gás Participações S.A. announced that, pursuant to the Cooperation Agreement signed with OSX Brasil S.A. (OSX) on February 26, 2010, OGX has placed an order for the charter and construction of the Well Head Platforms 3 and 4, in addition to WHPs 1 and 2 that have been already ordered and which are under construction by Techint Engenharia e Construções S.A. (Techint).

"The first two fixed platforms already contracted by OGX, being built by Techint, will be of great importance for the Campos Basin production development from 2014. With the advance of the appraisal campaign in this basin and the achievement of important results in the discovered accumulations, we are now requesting WHPs 3 and 4, which will be built in the OSX shipyard in the Açu Superport, thus contributing to the achievement of OGX's production targets," said Paulo Mendonça, OGX's General and Exploration Officer.

The WHPs 1 and 2 are scheduled to be delivered by the first half of 2014 and are expected to be assigned to the Waimea and Waikiki complexes, respectively.
