DNO Boosted Monthly Production in December

Norway's DNO International boosted daily production significantly at its operations in Yemen, Kurdistan and Oman during December, the company reported Thursday. DNO's gross production figures for the three regions amounted to 80,840 barrels of oil equivalent per day in December, compared with 65,208 boepd in November.

But for the fourth quarter as a whole, gross production fell by 7.9 percent to 70,864 boepd from 76,936 boepd in 3Q 2011.
Gross production from Yemen in December 2011 was 11,504 bopd (Nov 2011: 10,956 bopd), while DNO's working interest production came in at 4,562 bopd (Nov 2011: 4,388 bopd). 4Q Yemeni gross production was slightly lower at 10,682 bopd (3Q 2011: 10,913 bopd).
In Kurdistan gross production was improved to 60,514 bopd compared with 42,798 bopd in November, with DNO's WI production coming in at 37,621 bopd (Nov 2011: 26,646 bopd). Again, quarterly gross production fell, from 52,053 in 3Q 2011 to 48,770 bopd in 4Q 2011.
Production in Oman saw falls both on a monthly and quarterly basis due to a rig-related temporary shut-in. Gross production of gas here was 23.9 million cubic feet per day (Nov 2011: 30.5 Mmscf/d) while gross production of oil and condensate amounted to 4,845 bopd (Nov 2011: 6,368 bopd). 
DNO reported that January production had seen its Omani operations move back to normal capacity.
The company also provided an update on its drilling activities. Highlights included oil shows at its Peshkabir-1 exploration well on the Tawke production sharing contract in Kurdistan and confirmation of an oil and gas discovery at Summail-1 on the Dohuk PSC.
DNO also said that test production at its Bastora-1A horizontal well on the Erbil PSC in Kurdistan has continued at 800 to 900 barrels of oil/water per day from natural flow.
In addition, DNO reported that its Tawke-Deep exploration well has been approved by its partners and that it expects to spud this well during 3Q 2012.
