Petrobras Begins Lula Nordeste EWT

Petrobras has commenced an Extended Well Test in the northwestern area of the Lula field in the Santos Basin pre-salt area. The EWT is being performed in the FPSO BW Cidade de Sao Vicente, anchored at a depth of 6,955 feet (2,120 meters), said the company.

Production should remain at around 14 Mbopd. Petrobras stated that information gathered during the EWT will help in project development for the definitive production system to be installed in the Lula field under the name Lula Nordeste Pilot, and through the FPSO Cidade de Paraty. The consortium performing the test consists of Petrobras (operator, 65%), BG Group (25%) and Galp Energia (10%).
