Aker Bags Goliat Tie-In, Connector Contract

Aker Solutions received a tie-in and connector contract for the Goliat development in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The scope of work includes the outboard remote tie-in system termination heads, and associated equipment, to connect the flow lines, pipelines and flexible jumpers to the manifolds, flowline t-junctions and riser bases on the Goliat field. The equipment should arrive on site in 2Q13. Located on Production Licenses 229 and 229B is the Goliat field, in waters measuring 1,312 feet (400 meters) deep. Eni, which holds a 65% interest, operates the field; Statoil holds the remaining 35% interest.
