Job Description:
EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS WITH REGARD TO VALVES, VALVE APPLICATIONS AND A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF GATE VALVES AND CHECK VALVES IS REQUIRED.


POSITION: Inside Sales

REPORT TO: Director of Inside Sales & Customer Service

POSITION SUMMARY:  
Responsible for inside sales and customer service. Provide technical assistance to the customer by matching a valve product to their requirement.

THE COMPANY: A major supplier of pipe, tubing, valve, fitting and flange equipment including stainless steel products for the oil field, municipalities and oil refining industries.  Operations are located in Houston, TX.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with customers, process orders, and issue quotations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the company's products, services, policies, pricing, customers and market.
  • Review order and quotations with Inside Sales Manager to ensure sales and profits are maximized
  • Communicate with warehouse supply chain operations so that on-time deliveries are maintained.
  • Communicate with order entry so that errors will be eliminated.
  • Prepare and create "product sale packages" to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure customers meet the financial qualifications for open order sales.
  • Process incoming calls from customers to provide excellent customer service.
  • Build relationships to provide repeat business.
  • Makes follow up calls to customers to gain market knowledge.
  • Contact past customers and makes cold calls to new potential customers to generate sales.
  • Acts proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customers.
  • Works closely with Sales Team to meet or exceed assigned goals.
