Job Description:
|
The Sales Support Specialist will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role, you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and will have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this position, you will:
- Manage day-to-day drilling and production activities for major assigned account
- Develop practical and innovative ways to improve the business relationship between VetcoGray (VG) and assigned client
- Be responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives
- Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of strategies and plans that promote VG products and services
- Ensure contractual obligations are being satisfied
- Liaise with VG entities to ensure products and services are being supply on time to rig schedules
- Provide leadership
- Work with account manager to develop specific sales strategies and plans to further promote VG products and services
- Make recommendations for continued growth
- Responsible for all monthly reporting requirements per contract
- Build customer relationships with assigned and newly created customers which increase sales
- Negotiate contracts as required
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base
- Be responsible for the customer in all aspects of account growth including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunity identification, and value communication
- Define entitlement and identify areas to penetrate and grow profitability
- Interface with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging the GE portfolio
- Build customer relationships and communication at all levels
- Enter sales orders from information obtained from Outside Sales, Drilling Reports and Customers
- Create service packets with copies of Sales Order, Inspections and Drawings
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a product or customer support position
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct sales, account or team leadership
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability and willingness to remain on-call as required
- Computer proficiency
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- In-depth knowledge of surface wellhead and flow control equipment applications and markets
- Purchasing experience with the ability to negotiate pricing and lead times is an asset
- Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues / needs into profitable business solutions
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Capability of multi-tasking
- Phased Array UT Inspection operating & analyzing experience
- Ability to read and correctly interpret prints / drawings & specifications
- Past training / education in the areas detailed on the Manufacturing Training Matrix (MTM)
