About the Project Procurement Engineer Position
The primary responsibility of the Procurement Engineer is the management of the procurement function for commercial and capital projects as assigned. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and actioning sourcing strategies for key material, equipment and services for commercial bids and projects. Negotiation and contract management. Cost savings. Supplier performance and relationship management. Collaboration with internal Project Managers and Engineers. Purchase order management for commercial and capital projects as assigned.
Experience Required:
- BA Degree in a field related to Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business with a preference for an MA Degree.
- 3 or more years work experience in Strategic Supply Chain Management or Procurement, with a preference for experience in O&G, Marine or Airline.
- Extensive negotiation and contract negotiation skills, with a proven track record of cost savings.
- Engineering skills related to drawing interpretation and understanding of specifications.
- Responsible for negotiation of commercial terms related to supplier contracts.
