Role Summary/Purpose

The Risk Manager will provide leadership and expertise in achieving execution excellence to optimize contract profitability. In this role you will utilize your operations, technical, and financial experience and expertise to develop and execute strategies geared towards maximizing profitability through execution excellence and drive short-term and long-term business goals. In this position, you will:

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and technical expertise in the development of an overall risk management strategy for subsea, land /  offshore
  • Assume leadership through facilitation of Risk Review process (R Table Meetings) driving both the identification of risks and developing risk mitigation strategies, across the commercial, technical and financial spectrums
  • Understand technical and commercial drivers of products
  • Provide bid portfolio risk matrixes for product platform
  • Develop overall risk scoring strategy
  • Develop and report risk dashboards / metrics, reporting and analysis of key risk metrics
  • Maintain close coordination with Commercial, ITO and functional teams while reviewing objectives
  • Support Commercial and cross functional teams in sensitivity analyses to reduce risk while enhancing deal dynamics
  • Provide analytical and process / operation expertise, and the financial / business trade-offs to proactively maximize the economic outcome of every field execution event

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical or Financial field
  • Minimum of 10 years in O&G business or engineering, technology support, field operations or risk management

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient PC skills: Office applications, Minitab and Oracle
  • Strong knowledge of O&G Drilling and Production technology
  • Quality and cost driven
  • Financial / Technical analysis acumen
  • Certified GB or higher (GE employees)
  • Fluent in one or more other languages
  • MBA
