Our client, a leading supplier and manufacturer of tubular supplies to the oil and gas industry, and voted one of The World's Best Companies of 2009 in BusinessWeek, is seeking the immediate need of a Civil/Project Engineer to work in their Blytheville Plant. Position: Civil Engineer/Project Engineer
Location: USA - Blytheville, AR
Years of experience: 7 or more years
Education: Engineering degree; Civil Engineering degree preferred
Job Duties:
- Candidate will lead projects in the Civil engineering area oriented to industrial/manufacturing environment
- Will be working with multi-discipline engineering team, will have internal and external clients and interact with other inter-company departments
- Will define the scope of supply and prepare technical bid package
- Accountable for the implementation of projects assigned. This includes management of budget, schedule and scope
- Make decisions appropriate to the management of projects. This includes budgetary decisions.
Requirements/Skill Set:
- 7 years or more of experience in project management
- Effective verbal communication.
- Successful project management experience is required
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects
- Skilled in wording technical specifications related to reinforced concrete foundations, steel structures, soil investigations, roads and site development; evaluation and analysis of bid results
- Planning and scheduling abilities; budget preparation and management
- Comprehension and application of the industry standard codes such as IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, CRSI, ADA, and OSHA
- Experience with large capital investment projects is required
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
- Software abilities: Microsoft suite, Microsoft Project schedule, AutoCAD
- Desirable knowledge in Design software such as RISA, STAAD, SAP.
