Job Description:
Swift Worldwide Resources is looking for a Rotating Equipment Inspector to work in Soyo, Angola on a 28X28 rotation. Job Purpose
  • The Rotating Equipment Inspector is responsible for the construction quality oversight activities in assigned construction areas ensuring that they are performed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the project contract, drawings and specifications.
  • The Rotating Equipment Inspector will ensure continuous and progressive training of assigned personnel.
  • Ensure that all rotating equipment is installed as per project specifications and international codes and standards.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and weekly quality checks and reporting on contractors' work activities related to rotating equipment and machinery installations.
  • Witness machinery alignment checks and pre-commissioning tests prior to acceptance and turnover from contractor.
  • Ensure Company and contractor HES policies are enforced on the work site.
  • Monitor the EPC contractor's and subcontractor's rotating machinery quality programs and processes and ensures conformance to contract technical requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior level PMT quality inspectors.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10-15 years experience performing rotating equipment inspection and QA/QC within Oil and Gas/Petro-chemical industry. This includes: rotating equipment storage & preservation methods, installation and maintenance of rotating machinery, including pumps, turbines, and compressors, pump & compressor alignment procedures, and machinery start-up and commissioning procedures.
  • Be familiar with, and knowledgeable about oil and gas industry construction methods and international codes & standards (ASME, API).
