Job Description:
Summary of Responsibilities & Essential Duties:


  • Assist engineers and property evaluation team in all stages of development, analysis, and presentation of data using advanced knowledge of economic software, production data software, and MS Office.  In addition, will help create forecasts, economic analyses, and contribute to capital budgeting/planning. Duties include:
  • Assist in the evaluations of new business opportunities  
  • Support engineers with budgeting and forecasting
  • Support economic analysis and value determination for A&D packages
  • Perform trend analysis, perform calculations, and import/maintain production data
  • Build and run Aries and/or PHDWin for economic analysis
  • Prepare presentations using PowerPoint
  • Create databases and update data for budgets and strategic plans
  • Manipulate data, ensure consistency, and provide quality control

Qualifications (Experience, Background, Skills, Education):

Candidates must be detail oriented, self starting with excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to multi task. Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite, Acrobat, and database systems are desired.  A broad understanding of the E&P business (production, drilling, operations, and reservoir) and a general knowledge of oilfield terminology is a plus.
The candidate must have strong analytical, communication, and computer skills. In addition, he/she must be accurate and action-oriented.  Experience with ARIES or PHDWin Economic Evaluation System is a plus.  Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts and PC software knowledge; specifically Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PI Dwights (IHS Energy) is highly desirable.

Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University and three years of related experience in the oil and gas industry.

Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, clients, and customers.

Computer Skills - To perform this position successfully, an individual should have excellent computer skills and be willing to quickly learn additional software.  A working knowledge of MS Office Suite is required.
