Job Description:

SBM Atlantia's products include SPM systems, FPSOs, FSOs, MOPUs, the SeaStar® mono-column TLP, the FourStar™ four-column, battered-leg TLP, and the DeepDraft Semi® floating production unit. In addition, GustoMSC, a division of SBM Atlantia Inc, provides engineering and technology for all types of mobile offshore units, jack-ups, and semi-submersibles.

GustoMSC, a division of SBM Atlantia Inc, is recruiting for a Marine Systems and Drilling Engineer. The Marine Systems and Drilling Engineer will lead the performance of FEED studies and detailed engineering in support of drilling clients. The Marine Systems and Drilling Engineer will also play a lead role in working with clients on upgrades to rigs and add-ons.

In addition, the Marine Systems and Drilling Engineer will size equipment, develop equipment specifications, create data sheets, create PFD and UFD diagrams, and write equipment lists. The engineer will perform a variety of calculations such as heat loss, pressure loss, and pressure piping calculations. Finally the engineer will ensure that all work is done in accordance with all regulatory body guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Ocean, or Marine) with preference given to candidates having an advanced degree.
  • Candidates should also have 7 years of related offshore experience, including experience with both FEED and detailed engineering for offshore drilling rigs and / or vessels and floating offshore facilities. This position requires familiarity with National and International Codes and Standards and Classification Society Rules
  • Experience with Flowmaster and Mathcad preferred.

This position requires periodic domestic or international travel for customer and vendor contacts or for site support.
