Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Chemical or Petroleum Diploma will be considered and candidates with a 4th Class Steam Ticket.

Experience:

6+ years industry related experience in field sales.

Experience writing, negotiating, and managing bids.  

Knowledge:

Technical knowledge of company's products and services and their application to the customer requirements.  

Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet/Intranet, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.

Skills:

Good communication and analytical skills.

Good selling skills.

Ability to build strong relationships.

Principal Accountabilities / Duties / Responsibilities :

Technical knowledge of company's products and services and their application to the customer requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet/Intranet, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.

Under general direction, develop and maintain customer relationships with smaller accounts and less complex products/services.

Develop and maintain sales strategies to increase sales and profits through smaller accounts by developing new accounts and maintain existing accounts.

Write and submit bids, negotiate bids, provide advice on pricing, and provide timely and accurate response to customers' required proposals and/or bids.

Follow-up on all sales leads in a timely/effective manner and make necessary sales presentations to customers and management as requested.

Manage the sales functions from initial customer contact, preparing procedures, pricing, tool lists, technical support while job is ongoing, resolution of any problems, and final sign off on associated invoices.

Analyze the customer's needs and ensure customer satisfaction by recommending products/services that will contribute to customers' production.

Successfully communicate with internal departments to explain the needs of the customers and provide recommendations on how to fulfil the customer needs.

Establish pricing agreements, Terms and Conditions, or Master Service Agreement where needed

Handle special projects, as assigned.
