 My client, one of the largest independent (and publicly traded) oil and natural gas companies in the United States with proved reserves in the U.S., Canada, Trinidad, the U.K. and China, is seeking a Senior Geologist for their Oklahoma City team. The company is notable for its organic growth, low debt ratio, and is rated as a Fortune 100 ''Best Company to Work For''.
They are looking for a geologist with 10+ years Mid-Continent / Anadarko Basin experience. This position will be responsible for the generation of oil and gas prospects in the Mid-Continent region, as well as development and supervision of an ongoing inventory of 15-25 wells per year.
The successful candidate should have 10+ years of oil and gas prospecting experience, coupled with a track record of drilling success. Significant prospecting experience in a variety of structural and stratigraphic styles is required. Anadarko Basin experience preferred. Must have proven ability to incorporate geology and geophysical data to generate plays and prospects. Must have a good working knowledge of geophysics, particularly 3-D. Must be current on all applicable technologies and be able to handle a high volume of data. Must be able to work in a team environment with drilling, land, and engineering personnel to take prospects from concept through completion in a fast-paced drilling program. Must have excellent presentation skills. Must be driven to succeed, be self-motivated, have excellent work ethics and have a dedication to corporate needs.
BS degree in Geology/Geophysics required, a MS is preferred.
Position will be filled at a salary and level commensurate with experience.
