Baker Hughes has an opening in Claremore, Oklahoma for a Business Development Manager working in the Artificial Lift Marketing organization for the Western Hemisphere.
Job Description
The Business Development professional acts as the single focal point for all elements of the business relationship between the Baker Hughes Artificial Lift Product Line and key operators. This role may be up to 60% strategic (determining the long term business environment and Artificial Lift appropriate response to opportunities and challenges presented within the account), and 40% tactical (immediate and short term focused on client requests or short term problem resolution).
Specific roles and responsibilities include direct customer contact, performance/KPI monitoring and reporting, collaborate and communicate effectively with all internal customers (GeoMarket, Sales and Marketing teams, Technology). Facilitate executive visits to client location, assist GeoMarkets on tactical issues including conflict resolution, strategic tender coordination, contract management and development of sales personnel. May also collaborate with global account management on various business initiatives to include reporting accurate marketing intelligence for market share position and growth opportunities. Approximately 35% of travel required.
Knowledge preferred - global completion and artificial lift strategic focus to include: client strategy, core business drivers and technology, total account management share and sales, HS&E and quality metrics for the client, joint technology project experience, and marketing intelligence capabilities.
Experience
Extensive knowledge of product line. Extensive business skills necessary to maximize gross margins and improve operational efficiency. Extensive knowledge of business plans, customer requirements, and market demands. Excellent communication skills. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to recognize and solve problems of highly complex nature.
Education
Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years experience in engineering, operations or marketing environment. Master's Degree with 10+ years experience.
