Responsibilities:
Using web and content management technologies, this candidate will primarily participate in daily online design and development activities and maintenance of the Baker Hughes Marketing website. Additionally, he/she will work closely with groups outside the team to update, design and develop new content and handle special projects as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
Possesses strong graphic design skills. Candidate is knowledgeable of web applications and technologies. Proficient in HTML, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript - must have experience designing and developing websites.
Must be a self starter, have excellent time-management skills, and be able to work hand-in-hand with editorial and technical teams in multiple departments. Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Candidate is able to balance creativity with accuracy while juggling multiple projects.
Required Skills:
A t least 3 to 5 years experience designing or developing websites
Solid understanding of web design and web programming
Functional and technical knowledge of web design tools including but not limited to Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver
Proficiency embedding and encoding audio and video files into HTML web pages and Flash projects
Understanding of cross-browser, cross platform coding standards
Knowledge of web tracking tools and search optimization techniques
Additional Skills Desired:
Working knowledge of jQuery and AJAX
Sharepoint .NET experience
Advanced functional and technical knowledge of Flash and Action Scripting
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
