Responsibilities:

Under general direction, regularly provides guidance to and assists in training less experienced developers. May provide bug verification, release testing or beta support. Provides leadership role within small project groups. Handles special projects, as assigned. Ability to complete large modules of some complexity. Capable of contributing to and participating in design and code reviews and producing deliverables for such reviews.
Develop and maintain company proprietary software for microseismic fracture monitoring  
Design and implement 2D/3D/4D visualization applications
Design, implement and test applications for microseismic fracture monitoring
Design and implement GUI and graphic components and implement/port geotechnical code for new applications
Port/Rewrite MATLAB based applications (GUI, 2D/3D graphics and data analysis code) to JAVA/C++/C# based company proprietary software
Develop realtime data processing applications for microseismic fracture monitoring
Develop multi-tier database application

Skill Requirements

Proficiency in JAVA, .Net,  C/C++,MATLAB.  Knowledge of  FORTRAN is a plus.
GUI and 2D/3D visualization design and development
Good developmental knowledge on Relational Database
Competent to work on complex projects independently, to perform software design work, and commit to collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Implement software on both Windows and Linux

Experience/Education

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or Master's Degree in Geosciences with technical training and 3+ years experience in Software Engineering
3 to 5 years experience in JAVA/C++/C# programming and Windows software development

Other

Occasional participation in HFM field projects at well-site is a requirement for this position.
