About the Auto Weld Technician Position:
Execution of repairs and maintenance on welding equipment, as directed by the Electronic Engineer. Ensuring that the Electronic Engineer or, where applicable, the Chief Engineer and Superintendent are immediately informed of any condition or incident that arises as per standing instructions. Ensuring that no major repair or maintenance will be done without informing the Electronic Engineer and, when required, the Chief Engineer and Superintendent. Liaising with the Welder Foremen. Further tasks as described in the Marine Safety Manual - section 3.
Requirements
You MUST be a US Citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. You MUST DP vessel experience. Professional education as Electrician or Electronic Engineer. Minimum 2 years experience as Electrician, experience as Auto Weld Technician is preferred. Fluent in verbal and written English. Computer literate. Completion of external safety/trade training as per Company's training matrix.
Required Safety / Trade Certifications:
- Valid Passport
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential
- Safe Gulf / Rig Pass Training
- HUET
