Seismic Processing and Imaging North America (SPINA) is responsible for Statoil's Geophysical and Processing (Imaging) efforts based in Houston, TX with focus on the Gulf of Mexico, North American Exploration and Field Development. The SPINA group will together with similar units in Norway help Statoil become a world leader in seismic imaging and interpretation.
Job description
Seismic processing/imaging/velocity model building
Manage, conduct and QC internal and external processing and imaging projects
Interface with Interpreters and vendors and make recommendations for prospect maturation and risk reduction via seismic techniques
Qualifications
Required:
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
College degree, Master's degree or higher preferred
Preferred:
10 + years of experience in seismic processing and imaging, velocity model and migration algorithms
Experience with pre-processing techniques (data conditioning, de-multiple) and wide azimuth processing technology desirable
