Because of our continuous growth, we would like to invite you to consider Helix ESG as a career option. Helix Corporate Human Resources has a need for a dynamic and talented Storekeeper to work offshore on our state-of-the-art DPII vessels.
About the Storekeeper Position
The Storekeeper is responsible all aspects of the offshore supply function, including physical control of material on board and compilation of Helix ESG mandatory documentation. The safe and efficient management of the vessel stores / warehouse. Requisitioning of materials as directed using the applicable requisitioning system. Receipt and verification of incoming materials against manifest and reporting any discrepancy. Maintaining detailed stock records in accordance with Helix EST procedures using the computerized control system. Preparation of shipping manifests for back-loaded materials and equipment. Liaising closely with the deck department in respect of material movements by sea. Liaising closely with the HLO in respect of material movements by air. Performing emergency duties in accordance with the vessel's Muster List / Station Bill. The Storekeeper may additionally hold the position of Clerk where required. The Storekeeper co-ordinates with the Chief Engineer, Master, Superintendent, Second Engineer, Chief Officer, HLO or any other person necessary to ensure availability and control of all spare parts and stores. EHS Responsibilities Include: Daily activities within the materials control department are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. The impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits. Monitoring of waste and hazardous waste, ensuring it is stored as per MSDS, the vessel's Waste Management Plan and the Helix Environmental Procedures.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years experience working offshore as a Storekeeper / Warehouseman. Fluent in both verbal and written English. Computer literate.
Required Safety / Trade Certifications:
• Valid Passport
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential
• Safe Gulf / Rig Pass Training
• HUET
