Job Description:
Title: Regional Sales Associate

Department: Sales and Marketing

Location: Pennsylvania, must be able to work out of a home office  

Reports to: Vice President Sales & Marketing - who lives in the Mid-West

Job Objective:

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base by taking advantage of further electricity deregulation.  

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sales of energy procurement services to regional small industrial and large commercial prospects.  
  • Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in electricity and natural gas utility markets.
  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Maximizes all opportunities from all sources including lead generation staff.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
  • Develops qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, cold calling, emailing and networking to key decision makers and business owners done in conjunction with the support of Company direct mail & telemarketing programs.
  • Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Finance, Business, Accounting or related;
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales.
  • Basic Understanding of the electricity issues in Pennsylvania
  • Experience with electricity and natural gas utility and 3rd party supplied markets preferred.
  • Ability to effectively cold call and work prospects through the sales process.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
