Job Description:
A leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing has an opening for process engineer/project manager in our Springtown, TX, office.  This position will be responsible for daily operations support, process analysis and project management for gas processing and treating facilities in both the Barnett Shale and other districts inside and outside the State of Texas

Responsibilities

  • Review plants and plant/gathering systems from engineering perspective to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Emphasis will be on process analysis including extensive use of process simulation software.
  • Develops scopes and estimates for various projects.
  • Project management of capital and expansion projects.  Includes project reporting, budget and schedule management.
  • Coordinates all phases of projects including scope, design, contractor, procurement, inspection, construction and commissioning activities working closely w/ operations and commercial staff.
  • Performs other projects as assigned.
  • Participate in the due diligence process related to acquisitions and mergers providing an Engineering perspective.
  • Participate in the development and training of associate level engineers and Operations staff personnel.
  • Participate in the development of the capital-spending budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred), Minimum of 10 years experience.  Strong background in natural gas processing, treating & dehydration design, plant optimization / troubleshooting and Sulfur Recovery Unit experience a positive.
  • Strong background in process simulation utilizing either ProMax or HYSYS.
  • Ability to work with and manage a diverse group of field and professional personnel.
  • Ability to work independent and completely self directed.
  • Must have excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with others, both orally and in writing.
