ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Development of the Onshore & Offshore Facilities' concepts, designs, and execution plans for the development of the Scarborough and Thebe fields
- Lead and support the BHPB development gate process to ensure completeness, quality, and timing of the development consistent with BHPB's overall corporate objectives for the Scarborough and Thebe Fields.
- Oversight of the work performed by ExxonMobil for Scarborough to ensure designs and plans for the Scarborough facilities and pipelines are aligned with BHPB interests.
- Ensure information and knowledge transfer plans are in place to capture facilities engineering information necessary for effective operation of facilities through their operating life.
- Provide technical support to the Scarborough team to ensure the delivery of exceptional reliability and cost effective maintenance performance.
- Work with other members of Scarborough/Thebe PMT do provide for a fully integrated development package
- Work with other members of the Petroleum Group and Corporate to ensure their requirements are fully integrated into the design and plans for the Scarborough and Thebe field developments
- Incorporation of HSE objectives into design and environmental goals
- Supervision of contractors and Contract engineers
KEY DELIVERABLES / KEY DIMENSIONS
- Fully developed concept (s), FEED, and EPC ready design packages including basis of design, execution plans, funding documents, budgets, and required gate deliverables.
- Performance attributes of the project well grounded and documented via value improving practices including benchmarking, process simplification, facility system performance, constructability, lifecycle engineering, etc.
- Ensure the development of the Safety case, HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety, environmental, and other reviews as necessary to ensure resulting corrective actions are incorporated in the design and plans for Scarborough and Thebe.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concept Identification and Selection:
- Lead Role in the identification of the concepts and ultimate selection of the concept to be taken into the full development mode for both Scarborough and Thebe
Development:
- Participate in the development of the FEED package for Scarborough.
- Support HSE risk assessments, HAZID evaluations and HAZOP's of ongoing operations and facilities change requirements
- Implement plan surveillance program appropriate to the production unit facilities to ensure tracking of system performance.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies that ensure targeted facilities reliability is achieved or exceeded.
- Implement root cause analysis and business excellence processes to deliver continuous performance improvement in facilities reliability.
- Develop comprehensive business case for all engineering related expenditure, defining costs, benefits, risks and execution schedule.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
20+ years experience in the oil and gas industry. To include expertise in:
- Processing and offshore operations
- International Project development from concept through startup and operations
- Development and implementation of HSEC management systems associated with the engineering discipline
- Demonstrated planning skills
- Development and implementation of maintenance systems
- Budgeting, financial reporting and business planning
- Applicable engineering standards and guidance
- Relevant national and local government rules and regulations
- 5 years of major project experience is desirable ( > USD 0.5 billion
- 5 + years of relevant LNG experience
- English language preferred
In addition, 5+ years experience in a team lead role supporting production operations with proven skills managing people.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering or Science Discipline with accreditation by a recognized body (e.g. Professional Engineer/Chartered). Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred
