You will provide technical support to our deepwater fleet to include our ultra-deepwater drillships under construction. Position Summary
The Field Support Supervisor - Subsea (FSS-SUB) is either a very Experienced Engineer or an ex-OEM Specialist. He troubleshoots problems, ensures company technical standards are implemented, plans and manages projects, supports and trains the personnel in his area of expertise. The FSS is offshore based, but not rig specific position, usually the FSS oversees 2 to 4 rigs. The FSS reports to the Field Support Manager -Subsea.Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other
Secondary Job Functions
- Assists in shipyard work scope execution with other members of the Field Support group, as required.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Qualifications Required
Education:
- Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical technology or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred.
Professional Experience:
Skills - Technical:
- Must have 7 or more years of maintenance experience in an offshore drilling operation.
- Must possess working experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
Skills - Communication:
- Bi-lingual is preferred (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese)
- Both verbal and written communication skills necessary.
Skills - People:
- Ability to interact with individuals in a cross-cultural environment.
- Leadership and employee develop skills.
- Team oriented.
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements:
- Offshore survival, first aid training and medical certificates as mandated by government regulations are required.
- Certified in all required company safety training programs, including but not limited to fire fighting and helicopter underwater escape.
- Must have had minimum training in work at height, rigging, slinging and scaffolding.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
